nursery plan

I've had a lot of questions about our nursery theme lately.  We're having a carpenter come in to reconfigure the built-ins, and once that's complete, we'll be hiring a professional painter.  This is a little pregnancy treat to myself.  Then...  we'll be able to finally move forward!

The shelves as they look now...

Because the shelves take up the entire wall, we need some of the lower ones eliminated so we can slide our changing/table dresser underneath.  This is a Photoshop image I created to show our carpenter.  We're also getting a little mesh framed door added to the front of the radiator.

Then we'll have the painter paint the walls aqua, the molding and shelves white, and the back of the shelves tangerine orange.  Here's our color inspiration...

As far as bedding, I ordered a gorgeous custom set on etsy.  The orange will be the crib skirt and then I got multiple fitted crib sheets and changing pad covers in the other two prints (aqua and chocolate).

We'll also be applying a border of white vinyl marching elephants just above the crib.  Here's the etsy seller's image...

I ordered a rug this week, but the color was way off, so that will be returned.  I think I'll just have to wait on that until everything is much farther along.  So, as you can see, there's a subtle elephant theme with an aqua, tangerine, and chocolate color scheme.  Phew.
