Mother's Day I got to sleep in and then awoke to banana chocolate chip pancakes. My favorite! Then we got dressed and went outside. I've had this old chalkboard sitting in my closet at school since I started here, six years ago. Now that we have a van, I was finally able to bring it home where it will take on a second life. I saw this post last summer on Ohdeedoh and knew we had to recreate our very own. So... while Brian was busy securing it to the fence off the patio...
Cassidy and I painted on the deck...
After a few minor screws, we were good to go!
we even concocted our own "chalk paint" by dissolving chalk shavings in water, genius!
Unfortunately for Brian, the weekend wasn't all fun. We also got a ton of yard work and cleaning accomplished, as well as, the beginning of a new rock "wall" and landscaping in the front. My husband rocks!
