christmas numero dos

Okay, so I have a few extra minutes here after school, so I thought I'd try to bust this out.

Thursday morning, day two of scheduled potty training, Cassidy woke at 3:00 am because she had thrown up all over her crib. Poor baby! I woke Brian and he changed the crib while I gave Cassidy a bath. She was sad, but still very sleepy, so I brought into bed with me. Five minutes later I had to scoop her back up and into the bathtub because she got sick again. This was pretty much the routine throughout the rest of the night. At 9:00 am we packed ourselves up and went over to our awesome urgent care. She was diagnosed with the norovirus, a double ear infection, and pink eye. Woah. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the day napping on and off on the couch and potty training was put on hold.

Friday, Cassidy woke up with no memory of the day before. Thank goodness. A few hours later the Weigands joined us for Christmas festivities part two. Brian and I spent a good part of the day baking a ham, au gratin potatoes, and tangerine glazed carrots. Around 5:00 pm I noticed that I began feeling queazy. I got permission to take a quick nap before dinner which eventually turned into my own turn in the bathroom. I missed dinner, I missed waiting up for New Year's Eve, and I missed a good portion of the following day including Shaun's birthday. Ugh. So, the point of this very long introduction is to say that I don't have much to write about because I wasn't around for most of it, but Brian got some good shots and I wanted to share. I was able to partake in present opening on Saturday morning though and that was so much fun!

Happy Birthday, Shaun!

But, anyway, we're all on the mend. Brian had to take off Monday and Tuesday with his own fever and I now have a head cold, but we'll survive! Thanks everyone for Cassidy's amazing gifts!
