bathroom renovation
I realized this morning that I never posted the final pictures of our newly renovated downstairs bathroom. Here's the original reno post for reference and the bathroom this morning...
We were able to save the sink, toilet, and of course, the shower, but changed the walls, floor, faucet, and lighting. The mirror was my father's cousin Billy's.

The black and white tiled shower determined the tile we chose for the floor. We also wanted to go with a design that was classic and would fit the period of the rest of the home.

Our contractor introduced us to this light that is also a fan, saving space and far more aesthetically pleasing.
The hardest decision was the paint color. We knew we had to work with the black and white tile, but this bathroom is also directly off the dining room. The door is almost always open and completely visible to anyone walking through. Since the dining is mostly tones of green and yellow, we didn't know what to do! Finally we chose this orange because it was included in the braided rug from my grandparents located under the dining table. We had also always loved the pumpkin J+J had used in the dining room before us, but couldn't keep because of our furniture. We know it's a bit daring overall, but we really love how it turned out!
