Here's how we decided...

First of all, we just really liked the name Cassidy and when we did more research we fell in love with it even more.  It is of Irish, Welsh, and Gaelic origin and means curly-headed, ingenious, and clever.

For the middle name we knew we wanted to go with a family name, but how do you choose just one?  Soooo...  we decided to combine our mothers' names Linda and Jane.  The middle name is now Lane and when we looked it up we learned it is of English decent and means from the narrow road.  Cool huh?  That reminds me of "The Road Less Traveled" by Robert Frost.

One of the main reasons we love the name Cassidy is because of the Grateful Dead song.  When you reread the lyrics with visions of a little girl in your mind, they come alive.  It's hard for either Brian or I not to tear up reading them through!
