10 months old (a week late)

Dear Cassidy,

Wow. Time has certainly flown by lately. You are already 10 months old and it seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. This has been a pretty incredible month for you. It is hard to pick where to begin. I guess we should go with the most major one. Walking! Although you are not running from room to room (yet), you have showed us that you can take some steps on your own. We usually have to set you up and bribe you to do it, but you can get those few steps in before falling on your butt. We are so very proud of this major accomplishment.

You also had another major photo-shoot this month. You are proving to be quite the fashion model. Sarah, the photographer, always comments about how easy you are to photograph. We must agree, we haven’t seen an uncute photo of you yet.

Visitors, visitors, visitors! Everyone wants to come see you. In the last month Grammy and Grumpy have come to visit you twice, Poppy and Grandy have come to see you, Uncle Mark and JoJo stopped by to see you on their way home from Boston, and Uncle Shaun and RaRa have visited twice too. You are a very popular lady. Plus, you and Mason get to see each other all the time.

You’re such a goofy little girl. You love to play peek-a-boo and hide behind objects. You think belly buttons are downright hilarious and love to poke both your Mommy’s and mine. Zerberts are a favorite pastime, as well as, flapping your bottom lip while humming (Gus taught you that one!)

This past weekend we took a pretty major step and you of course rocked it. For the first time you spent the WHOLE day without Mommy. While Mommy went to New Hampshire with her friends, you went to a bike race with Daddy, Uncle Shaun, RaRa, Tom and your buddy Mason. You rode in your backpack, ate lunch in your stroller, clapped for the cyclists in your Bjorn and crawled around the finish line with Mason and RaRa. We were so impressed that you did all of this without fussing the whole time. Daddy couldn’t have had a better day.

We’re sorry we’re so late with your letter this month, baby girl. It’s been incredibly hectic around here! We love you through and through and can’t wait to see what the next month will bring with falling leaves and colder days.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy
