4th of july

The 4th of July this year was much different than years past. For starters, we were home, which is the first in a long time, and all of our Providence friends were not. So, we spent the day as a family and spent the day exploring our city and enjoying the beautiful weather.

Cassidy got all dressed up in the 4th of July outfit Grandy got for her. She looked so sweet decked out in red, white, and blue.

We started the day with a 3 mile walk around the east side,

played in the lawn of the observatory,

made an amazing meal on the grill (including this beautiful Greek salad Brian made for me),

walked down to Waterfire,

and then over to India Point to watch the fireworks.

We had a really nice day together and Cassidy thought the fireworks were totally cool. She didn't even mind the noise. All together we racked up over 8 miles walking throughout the city. Have we ever mentioned how much we love Providence?
