This week brought many firsts...
We started giving Cassidy tub baths about two weeks ago, but she's just now starting to relax and do I dare say, enjoying bath time?
We broke out the "playmat" so that Cassidy would start getting used to laying by herself and tummy time. We've also started reading to her with some more regularity. Whether she's paying attention or not...
When my parents came up for Christmas they brought with them the Steeley family cradle. Isn't it beautiful? I'm going to challenge my mom to post a comment with the cradle's history...
We've set it up in the dining room for nap time.
So far it's working really well and Cassidy loves it.
Even though it's a little bit early, Brian fed Cassidy her first bottle tonight. They advise to wait until 5 or 6 six weeks, but since she has breastfeeding down so well, we moved it up a week. I think we'll substitute a bottle once a day just so Brian can have more bonding time. It was a success!

awesome! so glad to hear that the bottle feeding went well. you will love the extra hour or two of sleep that can come with brian helping to feed her. the cradle is gorgeous too.
we did the bottle thing about that time too...Cindy Mosier suggested it to help the adjustment to pumping and bottle feeding. John also wanted that bonding time:) Sorry we lost each other on the phone today...I told John to ask off for that Monday!
We LOVE the blog!!! Sorry we haven't responded sooner - we love seeing every new picture of my little munchkin and Grumpy checks it every day and melts a little more each day. She is growing so fast - it's hard to believe she'll be a month old on the 10th.
The cradle looks incredible and I'm sure it's nice to have downstairs during the day.
