10 months!

Dear Miss Molly May,

Hi, sweetheart!  This week you turned ten months old and what a fun month it has been!

Let's start with the big stuff.  Crawling!  You definitely approach it in your own style, but we finally have forward motion!  It's rather adorable the way you do the "worm" across the floor.  You are officially into everything and we really have to watch what we leave on the floor because you think everything is food.  If we're sitting next to you on the floor, you quickly climb up into our laps and want to stand.  We think you'll be a tippy toe walker.

You are an amazing mimic and repeat many of the sounds and actions we do.  You have a few real words such as baby, mama, hi, uh-oh, bye, no-no-no, and tickle tickle.  You're getting really good at signing "more" and "all done".  You love to mimic your sister's growls and squeals, it's so so funny.

This month you've been a bit less mellow, but I believe it's because you are in a constant state of teething.  You have two bottom teeth and at least five others on the way, all at the same time!  My milk supply has also started to really taper, so we've added a formula bottle here and there when you're super cranky and that seems to take the edge off.  It may also be that you are not content to just sit and snuggle any more, you're a girl on the move!

You've definitely gotten taller and thinner, but we didn't have an appointment this month.  You're hair is blonder and longer and is constantly in your eyes.  We try to clip it back, but you want nothing to do with that silly barrette.

You love peek-a-boo, head shoulders knees and toes, patty cake, and sticking out your tongue.  You are astonishingly good at drawing on the Magnadoodle and playing the xylophone. I love this age because it seems as though there's a new trick every day.  I love to watch you gather your audience and interact with others.  I especially love when you crack yourself up.  Adorable.

Well, sweet baby, you're quickly on your way to one and I can hardly believe it.  We love you to pieces and are so very thankful we get to be your parents.
