Yesterday was Halloween. Grandy and Grandpop came to town on Saturday afternoon followed by my Aunt Jane and Uncle Phil. They had a party in Massachusetts Friday evening and decided to stop through Providence on their way back home. We all had such a great time together.
Saturday morning Cassidy helped Daddy put the last minute preparations on the scarecrow.
Saturday night we decided to do a quick run through of trick or treat. Really we just wanted to take a walk through the neighborhood and test out my family's old wagon. We also thought we'd get a little more mileage out of Cass's Ewok costume...
Sunday morning we spent the day hanging around the house in our jammies. Here's Cassidy testing out her chairs inside the playhouse Brian has been working on for her.
We went down to Brown Street Park (same spot as our community garden) where they had whipped up some fun activities for the little ones. Cassidy was a bit overwhelmed by the entire scene, but they had done such a nice job. The coolest part was that they had the What Cheer Brigade lead the kiddos through the neighborhood in a costume parade at the end.
Back at the house we indulged in pizza and before we knew it, the trick or treaters arrived. Cassidy was an excellent helper.
We decided to do a little treating ourselves and visited our neighbors on the surrounding streets. All of our preparation over the week went out the window when Cassidy saw the candles inside the pumpkins and started singing Happy Birthday instead. Oh well! She was adorable.

When we got back, Megan was waiting for us with what else? Everyone's favorite zombie baby. Cassidy wasn't phased in the least.

Yeah, zombie baby is seriously, seriously creepy. I don't remember that from last year. The ewok costume is excellent though-- nice job.
