the big visit

So, I totally didn't think this would work, but it did and I'm feeling very lazy. For some strange reason I didn't take a single picture other than during bath time last weekend when Tiffany, Mason, and Tiffany's mom, Sue, came to visit. So instead of trying to fake an original entry using Tiffany's pictures, I just copied and pasted hers here....

"yes, yes, yes, our roadtrip. as a prologue, you need to understand that in the past week mason and i drove 1300 miles. that's a lot. and really, for a two year-old he did a pretty great job. friday, mason and his grandma sue and i headed up to providence to stay with the weigand clan. we packed a lot of visiting and playing into just a few days. mason and cassidy were psyched to see each other as soon as we got out of the car and started playing without missing a beat.

friday night we kept the smalls up way past their bedtimes and tossed them into the bath together. they were pretty subdued, but the fact that they were both about to fall asleep sitting there probably had something to do with it. saturday morning we hit the childrens museum and mason and cassidy had a blast. i think they went up and down the tree slide about a hundred times. and then we went to the brickway for brunch (hooray!). we had a super-fun potluck saturday night so mason could play with cassidy and gus, and the adults could catch up on some visiting.

and just like that, it was sunday morning and we were back in the car again. lots of fun, but too fast. now we just need to figure out how to get the weigands to drive west..."
