This year we split up February vacation into two parts so that both sets of grandparents could get a chance to hang out with Cassidy. The first half of the week was spent in Pittsfield. We returned home Monday night spent the day doing laundry on Tuesday. Well, at least Brian did while Cass and I went down to visit Mel and Kevin for lunch! We then packed up the car again and left for PA on Wednesday morning. Cassidy is an AWESOME traveler, sleeping the entire time on each leg of each trip. Yay!
Wednesday night Brian and I went down to Philly to catch a Sixers game with Mark and Amy, while Grandy and Grampa babysat for us. We had a great time, but this is the longest we have ever been away from our little one and we couldn't help but talk about her the entire time.
Before we left for the evening, Cassidy had to open her Valentine's Day present from Grandy and Grampa, her first Florida State hat!
On Thursday my mom planned a little get together at the nursing home so that everyone could meet Cassidy for the first time, including her Great Grandmother!

four generations
Grandmother was sooooo cute with Cassidy! It was an amazing moment to witness the two of them together, we certainly are lucky.

Cassidy also got to meet her second cousin, Wyatt, for the first time. It wasn't all that long ago when Andy and I were buddying up like this...
Friday morning Brian let me sleep in as he and Cassidy hung out in the kitchen. He finally caught the super grin on film!
That evening, Mark and Amy hosted a little get together at their place. We ordered pizza and played the Wii. Cassidy was very excited that Uncle Tim, Erin, Steph, Paul, and Noah could make the trip over to meet her.
Saturday morning, we decided to take Cassidy down to visit her Great Grandmother one more time. She slept the entire time, but Grandmother was very happy to see her again and offered to keep her numerous times if we needed to get back up to Rhode Island.
Although it was an incredibly busy week, we had such a great time. It's wonderful to see how many people already love Cassidy and couldn't wait to meet her! We've also learned how many of you check the blog, which makes all the effort seem worth it each week. But, there could always be more comments! I'm just sayin'...

AJ, I especially loved seeing the 4 generations and seeing Cassidy with Great-Grandma. I wonder whether you realize how special it is for your Grandmother to see you with a baby; I'm often aware of this dynamic when we visit Greta's grandmother. You're right: You are lucky.
The pictures are incredible - it is so awesome seeing Tim with Cassidy! He just stares at her in amazement. The 4 generation picture is special - not everyone gets an opportunity like that - cherish it! The pictures with your Grandmother are so cute - you can feel the love.
We're so glad you made both trips - I'm sure it was hard on both of you, but definitely worth it for everyone. Thanks again!!!!!
