11 months
Miss Molly May,
Oh goodness. We're so close to a year already! This month has been HUGE for you!
First off, crawling. You are no longer doing the worm or scooching. You are crawling and you are FAST! It's pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen. You also pull up on anyone and everything, but it's at the frustrating stage (for you and us) where you get up with no issue, but cry because you're scared to let go or lower yourself back down. This is especially fun when you're in your crib and need to sleep! You are also starting to cruise while holding onto the couch.
Your hair is long and blond. You will not keep a clip or hair tie in, so it's constantly in your face. With the humidity, it curls at the ends. LOVE. And your eyes seem to be brown? Your face is thinning and more and more beautiful each day, which doesn't seem possible.
You have the most lovely, little jack-o-lantern smile. Two fully through teeth on the bottom, a third just poking through, and four on the top, with the left side much further along than the right. That's five teeth you broke in just one month! No wonder you haven't been the happiest camper!
Speaking of temperament... You're not quite so mellow these days. I think it's a combination of all these new developments, but you're a bit more demanding than you used to be and forget about the fact that you used to just snuggle on our laps for hours at a time. You are a woman on the move!
You are an incredible mimic. You repeat many of our groans, growls, and expressions. It's really rather amazing. You can sign "more" and "all done" and mimic the sound of "all done" as well. You still have the same words as last month with the addition of "brush".
You're a pretty good eater depending on your mood. Blueberries, cheese, and bread are never turned down. You also love yogurt and applesauce. You're only nursing maybe once a day anymore and really prefer a bottle of formula over me. Once again, the opposite of your sister. So, I'm pretty sure we'll be completely done with nursing by the end of the month. Sad face.
I have no idea how much you weigh or how tall you are, but you seem huge to me. Although, you are pretty solidly in 12 month clothing. I also feel like you have the longest baby legs ever. Who knows.
Sleep has been good. With all the teething you've had a few rough nights here and there. I sometimes go in and nurse you around 3 am, hoping to stretch you out a little later in the morning. You're usually awake for the day between 5 and 6, down for a nap between 8 and 9 (sleep an hour or two), back down for a second nap around three hours after you woke from your morning one, and in for the night by 7 pm. Not bad at all.
You and your sister's relationship evolves all of the time. Now that you are super mobile and super fast, you love to go after your sister's toys. This does not make her very happy of course, but you are tenacious. I see us having to buy lots of "duplicates" in the future. Ugh.
You give the absolute best hugs with a little shoulder pat and all. Melts our hearts every single time.
Well... I think that's it baby. Next month you're one and it just doesn't seem possible!
Love,
Mama and Daddy
