9 months

Good morning, Miss Molly May!

Saturday you turned 9 months old!  Three quarters of a year already?  This has been a very big month for you and so much fun to witness.

We have your 9 month well visit tomorrow, so I'll update your stats then, but you seem very, very tall for your age.  Your thighs are beginning to thin, as well as those lovely cheeks. Your hair is getting longer and with this humidity, even a little curly?  Your skin is also benefiting from the warmer weather and not nearly as dry.  You have two little teeth on the bottom and your eyes are dark, maybe green, maybe brown?

You are super, duper close to crawling.  You get up on all fours and rock back and forth, but have yet to move forward.  Rolling is much easier for you these days and there are many mornings where we find you sleeping on your belly in your crib.

You're still an amazing sleeper and we are incredibly grateful for that!  Bedtime is usually between 6 and 7pm, you're up for the day around 5:30ish, and take two naps a day, usually a long one in the morning and a shorter one in the afternoon.  Most nights you nurse to sleep, but wake as soon as I set you in the crib.  I pop in a paci, you put your left hand on your ear lobe and knock right back out.  The ear soothing technique is incredibly sweet.

You have a few words/sounds that are definitely more than just coincidental.  You say, "mama," "hi," and "uh oh!"  Beth also swears you say "Kay-tee," but I've yet to hear it.  You can wave, clap, and occasionally sign.  You love to laugh at your big sister and your relationship is my absolute favorite thing!

You'll eat anything we put in front of you.  We feel a bit limited by your two tiny teeth, but you're ready to go!  My supply is definitely started to tank, so we just started adding one 4 oz. bottle of formula to your day.  I'm hoping that once I'm home for the summer, we'll both adjust and we won't need that bottle any longer.

This is such a fun and exciting time.  You're more and more confident in your abilities each day and I love watching how much you're beginning to understand.  Molly, you're a such a sweet little goof and we love you!
