8 months!
Dear Molly May,
Hey, lovey. You are 8 months old with lots of fun developments this month!
Your hair is getting lighter and longer. We have a little clip in it most days to keep it from getting in your eyes. Your little bald spots are now completely gone. I feel like your growth is starting to slow a bit and you're growing out of things less rapidly these days. Last time I weighed you myself, you were 21.5 pounds. And you have one little tooth on the bottom left. Cute! Cute!
You are still the most content and happy baby I know. You rarely fuss unless you are overtired or hungry. We love how sweet and relaxed you are.
You are becoming quite the talker lately and you are LOUD! The sounds vary from bababa to mamama. You also shriek and growl.
As promised, we completely fixed your sleep habits over April vacation. You now go to bed every night between 6:00 and 6:30 pm and usually wake for the day between 5:30 and 6:00 am. That's almost 12 hours a night without a single peep! Yay, Molly! Yay for sleep! You also seem to be condensing your three naps a day into two.
You have finally started rolling more. Still not as a mode of transportation, but if you want something out of your reach, you will roll to get it. When on your tummy you lift your chest off the ground and are beginning to pull your knees up under you. I believe crawling is in the not too distant future!
New tricks include clapping, waving, and hugging on demand. You also play a great game of peek-a-boo.
You LOVE to eat, but we haven't given you a ton of things that require chewing yet. You've pretty much eaten everything we've tried with enthusiasm.
Hmmm... that's all I can think of right now. I really, really love this age. You're so happy and fun and you can practically watch your brain growing and expanding on a daily basis. It's so much fun!
Love you hunny bunny!
