new tricks

Now that Cassidy has mastered many of babyhood's major milestones, it's been really fun to see the smaller, more subtle "tricks" emerge on a daily basis. She's really so much fun these days!

She gives excellent hugs and kisses. She pulls her stuffed animals up to her cheek, tilts her head, and says "awwwww" just like her mommy and daddy. She even gives us hugs, burrowing her head into our shoulders, and patting our backs with her little hand.

She's an excellent peek-a-boo player. All you have to do is ask, "Where's Cassidy?"

"There she is!"

Even though it's extremely messy and challenges Brian on a daily basis, Cassidy would much rather feed herself with a spoon. If you load it up and hand it to her, she'll promptly bring it to her mouth and eat. She's also a very good sharer...

One of our favorite new tricks is Cassidy's goofy fake smile. She wrinkles her nose, tilts her head back, and shows you her front teeth. It's also often accompanied by the sound "za".

Another one that we have yet to capture is Cassidy's new pastime, talking on her cell phone. She is super cute as she holds the phone up to her ear and pretends to talk.

It's usually Gus or Mason on the other end...

By the way, we're seriously lacking in comment love lately.
