First Post

So, I am going to attempt the blog thing... I wonder if this will be like every diary I ever started as a child, I write religiously for like a week and then life takes over. The part that makes me sad is that I've uncovered those diaries a few times throughout the years and I LOVE reading them and it makes me mad that I could never commit. Maybe this time will be different...

I figured today was an especially good day to start a blog. This week brought with it many exciting changes. Wednesday was Brian's very last day of class for his masters program and yesterday was his last day of work at PC. He is supposed to officially begin his student teaching on the Monday following Thanksgiving and complete that in March. This means that we will both be teachers with teachers' schedules and no more classes at night! This first year of marriage was amazing, but definitely not typical. It was a challenge to see so little of one another, never mind the added stress of a masters degree program. These next few months will bring with it a new set of challenges, like living on one paycheck, but I am SO excited to have more time together.

So, yeah, life is very exciting right now. On my end I am slowly plugging away at my National Board Certification. It's a ton of work and it stresses me out, but I figure this is this best year to tackle it.

Well, it's quarter to noon and Brian is still sleeping from our celebration last night. I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home.

Blogging's not so bad, let's see if I can keep it up...
